MTU is delighted to present a pop-up exhibition of photography and graphic design from Endicott College, USA, a key international partner of MTU. The exhibition will showcase the work of three students from Endicott College, School of Visual and Performing Arts, and will take place as part of a visit to MTU by members of Endicott College Faculty and the exhibiting students.

The exhibition will be officially launched on Wednesday 20th March, and is supported by MTU Arts Office, MTU International Office, and MTU Crawford College of Art & Design.

About the Faculty/Staff

 

Danielle Currier 

Professor of Graphic Design &  Interim Chair of Visual Communications department, Endicott College

Danielle Currier holds an M.F.A. in Design & Technology from Parsons The New School for Design. She is a professor of graphic design and currently the interim chair of the Visual Communications department at Endicott College. Danielle has received numerous grants and fellowships, and has spoken at industry events from Nashville to Chicago. She is co-author of the popular book, No Plastic Sleeves: Portfolio and Promotions Guide for Photographers & Designers, which is now in its 3rd edition. For the past several years Danielle has worked on a research and design project, creating a body of work focused on the use of information design to communicate the inequality of women on a national and global scale. This work was exhibited in the spring of 2021 in the Spencer Gallery at Endicott College. In addition, Danielle continues her own freelance design work with a focus on website design & development and brand identity. Danielle  is the faculty advisor to the Graphic Design club and the faculty advisor to Endicott’s chapter of the art honor society, Kappa Pi. She serves on numerous committees and will be joining the study abroad tour to Japan this May. 

Eduardo Vivanco

A historian of art and architecture as well as a trained architect—is a scholar of places that navigates the disciplines of art, architecture, and design history to identify relationships between ideas and built artifacts. He has lectured at Stanford, Vassar, Yale, Cornell, and Madrid Polytechnic universities, and his work and writings have been published in Journal of Architectural Education, Design Issues, and El Croquis.
