On March 5th, MTU Crawford College of Art & Design and the National University of the Arts launched an international exhibition focusing on sustainability in studio practice in the LHQ Gallery, County Call in Cork City. The project is led by Debbie Dawson, lecturer in Contemporary Applied Art at CCAD, and Dr. Ioana Stelea, lecturer in the Department of Ceramics, Glass & Metal at the University of the Arts, Bucharest. Both educators have guided students through an exploration of sustainable materials, fostering creative and environmental awareness in their artistic practice.
This exhibition is open to the public and serves as an important platform for artists, educators, and the wider community to engage in conversations around sustainability in art. The exhibition runs until Friday, March 14th.
