On Tuesday 3rd December, CIT is delighted to present the CIT Christmas Fair. This is the perfect opportunity to find that unique gift, or a treat for yourself. With a wide selection of artisan crafts from some of Cork’s leading makers, unique gifts and festive food this is great way to get into the Christmas spirit. CIT has joined forces with Goldiefish Productions to bring the very best of local producers to CIT for this special event.
This year there will be a number of pop up demonstrations giving festive Hair & Makeup tips and ideas. For the sport lovers there will be some unique sporting memorabilia on offer including signed Munster Rugby gear, and GAA items. It is also a chance to purchase tickets for The Marriage of Figaro - an opera taking place in early January at the CIT Cork School of Music. These are tipped to be snapped up quickly and this is your chance to get them early.
CIT Christmas Fair promises to be a fantastic event with live music, festive food samples and a very special seasonal guest, so there really will be something for everyone.
The Fair will take place at the Student Centre, CIT Bishopstown Campus, and is open to all from 10am until 4pm. Call in at 1pm to see The Roaring Forties perform a jazzy Christmas Special, help us turn on the Christmas lights, and welcome everyone’s favourite man in a suit... The Student Centre will be a hive of activity and a wonderful opportunity for CIT staff, students and the local community to come together and celebrate creativity.
CIT is delighted to welcome back a number of graduates from the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design and looks forward to their creative offerings. These young artists will bring a special dimension to the CIT Christmas Fair.
There will be Christmas Carols with CIT Choral Society, a drumming Circle , and the DJ Society playing festive tunes. CIT has an extensive extra-curricular programme of activities and the opportunity for students to showcase their skills and learning is an important part of the CIT educational ethos.
Participating stalls will include From Laurie With Love, Cathy’s Pearls, Martha Cashman Ceramics, Niamh O’Herlihey, Pascale Lutz, Rachel Farrell, MG Exclusive, O’Connaill’s Chocolates, Volcano Pizza, Bee Sensations, Hanora’s Fair Trade Craft, Soap Dreams, and many more.
This event is proudly supported by the in house catering company, Student Services Company. The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind will be there on the day and a portion of proceeds made will go to this wonderful charity.
