This exhibition presents the innovative and thought-provoking work of 4th year students from the B.Ed. (Hons) in Montessori Education at MTU. It highlights their engagement with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), showcasing how they have integrated key principles of sustainability, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility into their educational practices. Through a variety of creative projects, the exhibition illustrates how these future educators are embracing Montessori philosophy to foster a deep understanding of sustainability, preparing young learners to become active, informed, and compassionate global citizens.
The project, devised by Dr Annie Cummins, Lecturer in Montessori Education and Early Childhood Education and Care at MTU's Department of Sport, Leisure & Childhood Studies, was supported by development funding from the N-TUTORR national programme.
