The next generation of professional stage performers from all over Ireland, with a top-notch professional creative team and dynamic orchestra, present Our House, featuring the music of the iconic band, Madness.

We meet Joe on the night of his sixteenth birthday when – in the process of trying to impress his girlfriend, Sarah – he makes a decision between right and wrong that will impact the rest of his life. From that sliding-doors moment, we begin to follow two versions of Joe – one good and one bad. In the parallel worlds of Good and Bad, Joe Casey heads towards an explosive finale and we find out the decision he made. Did he turn his back on a life of crime and do the right thing?

A clever and moving story with some brilliant comedic writing, all wrapped up in signature dance routines and high-energy hit after hit of the music of Madness, including ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘This Must Be Love’ and ‘House of Fun’. Based on a book by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots), Our House was first staged in 2002 at London’s Cambridge Theatre.

Our House was first produced at the Cambridge Theatre, London on 28 October 2002. Producers were Tiger Aspect Productions, Rupert Lord, Andre Ptaszynski and Phil McIntyre in association with Madness.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
