Celebrating over 20 years of performing Samba in Cork, the MTU Carnival Samba was formed in 2005 by leader Stephen Kelly.

Celebrating over 20 years of performing Samba in Cork, the MTU Carnival Samba was formed in 2005 by leader Stephen Kelly.

Based in the MTU Cork School of Music and made up of percussion students who study at the Cork School of Music, MTU Carnival Samba has performed at the Cork City St. Patrick’s Day Parade for many years, as well as performing at the annual Douglas Street Autumn Fest, the opening ceremony of the International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament in Musgrave Park, the Lord Mayor’s Tea Dance and many more concerts and festivals.

They bring a high energy groove to the streets of Cork whenever they play!
