Congratulations to Brendan Canty on winning Best Director at this years IFTA awards.

The Irish Film and Television Awards drew to a close in Dublin on Friday night, with the country's screen industry gathering to celebrate a year of standout achievement across film and television.

Across 29 categories, established stars and emerging talent shared the spotlight in a ceremony that balanced red-carpet glamour with heartfelt speeches, as Irish storytelling in all its forms took centre stage.

Cork-based drama Christy won a number of the top awards including Best Film, with director Brendan Canty taking home Director – Film. 

Along with Allyn Quigley winning for Editing and Amy Rowan winning for Casting on the film also.
